Yes, I too have been contacted by Mike Jones@micjns23@yahoo.com Cell 076 482 5054 see posts below. Another one to add to the list is Jamal@homemail.co.za Cell 0725755373. He could not make up his mind whether he wanted the desktop or laptop said he was buying for his nephew. Wanted my credit card details as his credit card would only do transfer credit card to credit card. Have you ever?

Said I didn't have credit card and that was the end of him.

So please be careful this scam was too obvious for words.

Hi All

On Wednesday my girlfriend and I were the victims of a scam, and we feel so foolish.

An Indian lady by the name of "Catherine Manford" replied to my girlfriends advert selling her laptop. She didn't need to see the laptop and said that she needed it for her son going to University. She was going to EFT the pmt into my girlfriends account and fax through the proof of pmt and her ID and proof of residence.
Well we didn't receive the fax but were told that the documents would be brought by her driver when he came to collect the computer.
So we met the driver who was very late, and were ready to take down the vehicle registration number for safe keeping, however he popped out of no where and said that his kids had to be dropped off somewhere at 6pm (whatever!).
So we examined the documents, but no ID was provided (what a sign!) and the proof of pmt was perfect. I checked every detail and it was clean.
So we parted ways and in the morning my girlfriend phoned the bank and the transaction was a fraud and had been made in 2006!! Evil or Very Mad
We tried calling the number and it still works (prepaid no.) but she just hangs up. We have reported it to the police so we will see.
Just be very careful and as another reader has said, if you use EFT pmts, rather wait for the cash to be in your account before hadning over the goods.
The fraudsters details are as follows:
Catherine Manford
0723557432
Driver
0714369813
"Bedfordview"
Both of these numbers are prepaid of course but are both still being used by these 2 fraudsters.
We feel like idiots and not to mention so helpless - but I suppose a harsh lesson.
Be careful out there

Please all, take this website down.

www.intertel.co.za

This company can trace cell numbers, even a private number. Traces emails as well. I have personally used him and he is reliable and honest. Its not exactly cheap but email the address on the website and tell him your story and see what he can do for you. Please, its well worth it.

Regards
