Twisted Evil

I cannot understand why it is necessary to send our kids for xtra tuitions. The very same teachers who do not teach properly in school run after school classes and charge a fortune. The principals take all the credit if our kids perform well. They perform well not because of the school ,but because of the fortune we spend in extra lessons

I agree with you. But given the large numbers of pupils in class its very difficult for some teachers to pinpoint the kids that are struggling. And furthermore teachers have to deal with the products of our now defunct society....thats a lot of stuff to deal with. On the other hand I think its immoral for them to charge for extra lessons, that is just wrong. Is there an Ombud we can see about this? LOL

Laughing

Unfortunately there is no ombudsman, however the Receiver of Revenue
should start clamping down on these guys. This is all tax free income.
My son goes for Maths and Physics tuitions run in a high school, by the principal of the high school. There are 40 children in each class , he does 2 classes per day charging R40 per child . He makes an average of R22400.00 per week undisclosed. Is this Fair?

I quite agree that one should check out someone that give extra lessons, I must truthfully say, I also give extra lessons for reading-writing-spelling & maths for kids from Gr 1 - 7, but I'm registered with Starz, its a place that I work with, I still give the lessons from my home, but I'm registered with them its a place that appoints qualified/experienced people to give extra lessons to children they register you with them if they are happy with your qualifications and experiences ect.., I know some people that have been "caught" by these registered places that closed there businesses for them, because if you want to give extra lessons you must know what you are doing, because these kids life's are in your hands, if anyone you just advertise to teach them without any knowledge or experiences or some qualification you, can maybe teach them wrong, and instead of doing better at maths for example they can do worse,

I have a lot of parents actually also saying that why do they need to send there kids for extra lessons, why can't the teacher just do his/her job?, well I myself have been teaching in schools, and the most kids I had in a class was 37 kids, now, its a lot of kids, and you just can give each one the individual attention they need, some children do struggle with things which other kids maybe don't they just need a bit attention on that subject, the teacher normally do the work per day that they must, make sure that every one know what to do, normally a child won't stand up or put his hand up saying I don't understand, and when the child get home, then he says to the parents I don't understand this work?, the teacher gets paid to teach and show the learners in a group, the teacher doesn't have actually time to teach extra lessons during school/class or sit with every child individually per day, that's why there are so me extra lessons available that people place ads for, because they know kids struggle, and they know the classes are big, so every one makes a living at the end of the day just like me, I have the knowledge and experience and this is what I do good in life, and really want to help kids to make learning actually fun at the end of the day.

For somebody that professes to help children in reading and writing, you write with a lack of punctuation and grammar.

To the topic at hand it doesn't seem right for a school to charge extra for doing what they should be doing initially.
