Hi there
Yes I have worked on a cruise liner. I am a beauty therapist and in 1980 I applied through the MSC online. Look up the cruise liners names and who the agent is to contact is the best thing to do. Depends if you want to work in the Meditarranean or Florida. As there was no position in the Beauty Salon, I applied for cabin stewardess. Thats making up the bed , changing sheets, refilling the water jugs, ice buckets and dusting the table inside the cabins. The one side of the liner from the bow to the stern you are working . The male steward does the cleaning of the bathroom and vaccuming. The only thing is when you do certain work on the liner your freedom to mingle with passengers and go ABOVE to where all the entertainment is , you cannot. You are a lab rat in other words. You have your own crew bar below and dining room and dvd room and loads of cabin parties to attend. When you are STARLIGHT entertainment, receptionist, dancers and entertainers, casino work and duty free work and beauty salon and hairdresser , you live ABOVE . Here you are allowed to go to the movies, lounge and entertainment area, you may mingle with the passengers as well.
After 3 months I was promoted to Receptionist. Then was off the ship for 6 months as it went back to Italy. Then waited for the next liner to come from Greece and was flown to Athens , which we started off from and worked our way to south africa for the 6 mths, I worked in the Beauty Salon for 6 mths , as 6 mths is your contract. Your boarding and food is free on board and a good way to travel the world and get paid. Its up to you to go with the liner back to the country it came from and continue your contract for another 6 mths, then find out when its coming back to south africa and hop on that one . Very intresting life on the liner.
If you would like more info , email me ok.

Hi Enben,

Please post a "wanted" ad under Gumtree website. The forum is not the place where you should place your request.

Posting an ad is completely free. And there is no charge if you sell your item on Gumtree. The site is totally free, no strings attached! Posting is easy. Simply follow the instructions below:

1) Click the "Post Ad" tab at the top of any Gumtree page.
2) Choose a category for your ad.
3) Enter a title, price (if applicable), and description. You have the option of uploading up to four photos (and 10 photos in housing and cars categories) and entering your address (you can just put a nearby intersection or your postal code if you want). You also have the option to feature your ad in a few different ways in order to get more exposure, for a fee.
4) Then enter your email address and click the "Post Your Ad" button.
5) Finally, check your email for a message from Gumtree. Click the "Activate your Ad" link in that email and your ad will appear on the site.

Thank you

Blake1
