How does Gumtree justify in increase for the Hope Page service from R99 to R399.
This is an increase of 400% ?

Shocking! I shall be reporting this to Trading standards.

Hi there Chris,

It's not clear specifically which category you are referring to, and there have been no recent price changes such as you have described.

There is a price difference for Homepage features depending on the category and region that you are attempting to post in. For example, to post in the Cape Town region > Community category, it is R99 for a Homepage gallery ad, while in the Services category it is generally R149. However, the housing section will cost you R399 for a Homepage gallery feature.

Please check with each category to confirm the cost of each promotional feature as desired.

Well then you better check your system, as I am not selling property but rather Video gaming equipment and if I select the paid for ads, the Home Page ad comes up as R399 ???

I've checked with somebody else and they have they same!

Chris, i am starting to believe that there is something seriously wrong with their system. Its not the first time i see this happening.

Chris-
As I previously stated, there is a different price depending on the category and region that you are posting in as outlined with a few examples. It is currently R399 to post an ad in Cape Town in the "video games & consoles" section of "Stuff for Sale", you are correct.
